Clarity Clinic's mission is to educate and support women and men at risk for
or impacted by an unplanned pregnancy, thus erasing abortion.
Our team of nurses, advocates, and educators provides compassionate services for responsible sexual values and alternatives to abortion. Our free services include pregnancy testing, limited obstetric ultrasounds, family educational support, ongoing mentoring through our
"earn while you learn" parenting program, pregnancy loss support, and community healthy relationships education.
Our History
In December of 1992, Ginny Neece organized the first informational meeting which was held at Galena Bible Church. Nancy Watts, the Director of Chicago Care, was the speaker and explained what a crisis pregnancy center is, what it does, and what it takes to keep it going. After this meeting those interested were asked to consider being part of a steering committee that would begin community research to document the need for a crisis pregnancy center in the Tri-State area.
In the years that followed, the steering committee developed a Board of Directors, a mission statement and began raising funds for the purchase of a building. In May of 1994 we had the money to
make the down payment on our first building at 1725 Delhi in Dubuque, Iowa. Doors were officially opened in June of 1994 and marked the beginning of what has now become a beacon of hope and life in the Tri-State area.
We rejoice in the growth and life-giving work the Lord has lavished upon Clarity Clinic these past 30 years. We do not take a moment for granted, and we give thanks to God for His protection and blessing of our mission to protect, promote and support the lives of all we serve. 30 feels good.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. (2 Tim 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Jn. 10:35
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; Matt 28:19; Jn 15:26)
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Jn 8:58; Col.1:15-20; Matt. 1:20; 2 Cor. 5:21; Luke 7:22; Rom. 3:21-26; 1 Cor. 15:3-8; Acts 1:9; Heb. 12:2; 1 Thess. 4:16)
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential, and that this salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and not as a result of good works. (Eph. 2:8-9: Titus 3:5-6)
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and to perform good works. (Gal. 5:22-23: Rom. 8:1-4)
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (Jn. 5:29; 1 Cor. 15:51-53; 2 Thess. 1:9)
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Gal. 3:28; Jn 17:20-21)
We believe that life begins at conception and that every life, including those conceived as a result of rape or incest, is a precious gift of God.( Ps. 139:13-16; Jer. 1:5; Mk. 10:14
